WHERE IT ALL BEGAN...

My story began 30 years ago when my Dad rescued two rolls of unprinted newsprint from the local newspaper factory. I have always been a creative and knew I wanted a career utlising my degree in Textile Design, however, it wasn’t until that moment that I knew how to bring it to life.

It’s amazing to think how this humble, sustainable material, otherwise destined for the bin, formed the foundation for all my original works. Once I work my magic on them, each piece transforms into something truly special, something to be cherished by its owner and enjoyed every day for years to come.

In the heart of the thriving village of Mountsorrel, Leicestershire, I work from my studio in my beautiful home, The Acorns, where I live with my husband, two children and Bagelbee, our Sprocker dog. Little white houses have always been a trademark feature in my paintings, ever since my creative career began in 1992, after completing my degree in Textile Design at Loughborough College of Art and Design. Ironically I now live in one of those little white houses…I must have been manifesting it all along without even realising!

THE EARLY YEARS…

Early on in my career, I began selling original designs through a variety of art venues to great commercial and critical acclaim.

I secured a deal with a greetings card publisher, a prominent fine art publishing house, and was even commissioned to create several mug designs for Queen’s Bone China.

Over the years, my unique brand of artistry created a loyal following, and several industry awards, including the prestigious ‘Gift of the Year’ title and ‘Best Up-and-Coming Artist’ from the Fine Art Trade Guild.
